Cozza's Late Tally Gives Highlanders 1-0 Win at Robert Morris

Moon Township, Pa. -- Sophomore Erin Cozza (Woodbridge, Va./Gar-Field) scored her first collegiate goal in the 87th minute helping Radford University to a 1-0 shutout victory over Robert Morris. The win evens the Highlanders record at 6-6-2 and snaps their five-match winless streak. RMU falls to 2-14.

Cozza broke the 0-0 deadlock when she gained control of the ball inside RMU's box and cracked a shot past Colonial keeper Shana Berardi.

Freshman Annaliese Yoder (Mohrsville, Pa./Schuylkill) earned her first collegiate shutout making two saves. Shana Berardi stopped five shots for the Colonials.

Radford outshot Robert Morris, 14-8 and had a 7-0 advantage in corners. Cozza led the Highlanders with three shots, while Christina Pilato registered a team best three shots for the Colonials.

Radford will conclude the four-match road swing on Oct. 24 when they travel to Coastal Carolina for a Big South match at 7 p.m.
