Roberts Named Big South Golfer of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- Radford senior women’s golfer Meredith Roberts (Purcellville, Va.) has been selected as the Choice Hotels Big South Women’s Golfer of the Week for events played March 24-30, it was announced today by the League office. She joins Coastal Carolina sophomore Dustin Johnson, who earned the men’s award.

Roberts was RU’s top finisher and the top finisher among three Big South teams at the William & Mary Invitational with her tie for 19th place with a two-round 159 (78-81). She helped Radford to a 10th place finish, improving the Highlanders standing from first round action when they were 13th after one day.

Johnson earned his second weekly award of the year after tying for third with a 5-under 211 (68-73-70) at the Furman.
