Radford Finishes 10th In Rain-Shortened Draper Valley Invitational DRAPER, Va.-- Radford’s women’s golf team placed 10th out of 14 teams at the Draper Valley Invitational on Tuesday, shooting a 317. The event, which was scheduled to be 36 holes, was shortened to just one round after rain wiped out day two. Senior Meredith Roberts (Purcellville, Va.), was the Highlanders’ top finisher with a 75. She tied for 10th place overall. Junior Stacy Brewer (Fairfax, Va.) finished second for RU, checking in with a 78, good for a tie for 25th overall. Junior Dana Doganes (Leesport, Pa.) was Radford’s third finisher with an 81, which placed her tied for 46th overall. Senior Keri Reilly (Weedsport, N.Y.) and sophomore Tiana Patirrne (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) finished fourth and fifth respectively for the Highlanders. Reilly scored an 83 to place tied for 56th overall and Patirrne shot a 90 for 67th place. Murray State won the event with a 291. The Racers also had the top two finishers in Santie Koch, who shot a 68 and Camilla Loeveid’s 70. Radford will next play in the Sea Trail/Elon Invitational on Sept. 24-26 at Sea Trail Resort in Sunset Beach, N.C. |
