Terebey Wins Lady Terrier Intercollegiate, RU Finishes Third

SPARTANBURG, S.C.— Radford senior Laura Terebey took medalist honors at Wofford’s Lady Terrier Intercollegiate Golf Tournament on Sunday. The Highlanders finished third out of seven teams in the two-day event.

Terebey fired a five-over 149, to win by five strokes over Laura Parris of Wofford. Terebey shot a 73 on day one and 76 on day two. The 73 was the lowest round by any golfer in the tournament.

RU finished with a team total of 661. East Tennessee State won the event with a 651. Wofford was second at 652. Tennessee Tech, (663), The Citadel (665), Big South member High Point (672) rounded out the teams. South Carolina State also competed, but did not finish on day one.

Dana Doganes was RU’s second finisher, posting a 170. Keri Reilly shot a 174 while Meredith Roberts fired a 176.

The women’s golf team will be back in action this weekend, traveling to Rock Hill, S.C. to compete in the Winthrop-Waterford Invitational.
