Radford Finishes In 10th Place At Spider Spring Invitational

GLEN ALLEN, Va. - Radford's women's golf team finished in 10th place at the Spider Spring Invitational. The Highlanders shot a 328 in the final round for a three-day total of 986 (334-324-328) at the par-72 Hunting Hawk Golf Club.

Laura Terebey (79-77-78-234) fired RU's best round for the third straight day, shooting a 78, placing her in a tie for 19th overall. Stacy Brewer (85-83-84-252) and Dana Doganes (86-83-83-252) checked in tied at 50th overall, and tied for second among Radford's finishers.

Keri Reilly (92-81-83-256) was the Highlanders' number four finisher, carding a 61st finish overall. Meredith Roberts (84-90-84-258) rounded out Radford's finishers, placing 62nd overall.

UNC Wilmington junior Becky Berzonski shot a three-over-par 219 (73-73-73) to capture the individual medal and lead the Seahawks to the team title.

UNC Wilmington (297-304-302-903) fired a 302 in today’s windy final round to distance itself from second-place James Madison (296-307-31-916) who led after the first day, and trailed by only two strokes to begin play this morning. UNCW’s 302 was seven strokes better than Maryland and North Carolina State who both shot 309 today and tied for third this weekend.

Along with UNCW, Coastal Carolina (303-309-322-934/fifth), Winthrop (347-329-332-1008/11th) and High Point (347-329-336-1012/13th) were the other Big South teams competing in the tournament.
