Women's Hoops Holds Post-Season Banquet

Radford, Va. . -Radford women’s basketball team held its annual post-season banquet last week at Thorn Spring Golf Club in Pulaski, Va. The evening included a dinner, team awards and the honoring of Radford’s departing senior class.

Following dinner and the handing out of statistical accolades, head coach Jeri Porter presented the team awards that were voted on by the coaching staff and players. Senior Taryn Causey (Collierville, Tenn.) was honored as the team’s Most Outstanding Player. She was also named Co-Defensive Stopper with freshman Kelli Darden (Chesapeake, Va.), who also earned Most Improved honors. Junior Sarah Stephens (Hampton, Va.) received the Ms. Hustle Award and senior Jesse Brunjak (OSenior Classoltewah, Tenn.) was presented with the Coaches Award.

The banquet concluded with a presentation to the senior class. Causey, Brunjak, Alisha Jones (Mesa, Az.) and Holly Sharkey (Westminster, Colo.) received jerseys in honor of their years with Radford University women’s basketball.
