Neby Garners Big South Player of the Week Honors

Radford, Va. - Junior Amanda Neby (Plymouth, Minn.) claimed Big South Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honors for the second time this season. She averaged 17 points and 10 rebounds in two games this week for the Highlanders.

Neby tallied a game best 23 points and 11 boards in the one-point win over High Point. She also dished out the assist on the game-winning lay up. On Saturday, she tallied 11 points and nine rebounds (six offensive) against Liberty.

Neby, the Big South’s second leading scorer at 16.9 ppg, leads the Highlanders as they prepare for their first round BSC Tournament matchup at High Point on Wednesday, March 5 at 7 p.m.
