Neby Receives First Team All-Conference Honors Radford, Va. - For the second consecutive season, forward Amanda Neby (Plymouth, Minn.) garnered First Team All-Big South Conference honors. Neby averaged 17.2 points and 7.9 rebounds for the season, ranking her second and third in the Conference respectively. Neby was also a member of the BSC All-Academic Team. Coastal Carolina’s Nikki Reddick, Elon’s Holly Andrews and Liberty’s Kristal Tharp and 2003 Player of the Year Katie Feenstra of Liberty joined her on the first team. High Point’s Narelle Henry and Misty Brockman, along with UNC Asheville’s Tonisha Jackson, Elon’s Jayme Chikos and Charleston Southern’s Marea Daniels were name to the second team. Liberty’s Carey Green was named Coach of the Year, while UNCA’s Kristal Hood was tabbed Freshman of the Year and HPU’s Gina Rosser was name Scholar Athlete of the Year. |
