Highlanders Swept at High Point

High Point, N.C. - Radford's volleyball team was swept by High Point this afternoon from the Millis Center. Radford fell by the scores of 23-30, 26-30 and 29-31.

Radford falls to 2-22 overall and 1-7 in the Big South, while the Panthers improve to 7-23 and 1-8 in the Conference.

Sophomore Divona Cox (Virginia Beach, Va.) and junior Tiffany Guthrie (Littleton, Colo.) led Radford with 10 and nine kills respectively. Elizabeth Aldredge (Richmond, Va.) topped RU with nine digs. Cox, Guthrie and Aldredge each had three block assists.

Lindsey Pickens led the way for the Panthers with 14 kills, nine digs and a .500 hitting percentage. Heather Brooks and Kamarsha Ryan chipped in with nine and eight kills respectively. April Shields also posted nine digs for the Panthers.

Radford returns home for a pair of matches on Nov. 7 and 8 against Coastal Carolina and Charleston Southern. Match times are 7:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. respectively.
