Brooks Named Big South's Player of the Week

Charlotte, N.C. – Senior third baseman Ashleigh Brooks (Virginia Beach, Va.) was honored as the Big South Player of the week announced by the Conference Office last evening. Brooks was a key factor in the Highlanders going 3-1 on the road in Conference action last weekend.

She batted .429, scoring five runs in four games weekend. In a sweep of Charleston Southern, she went 3 for 7, with two runs scored an RBI and a stolen base. Brooks also went 3 for 7 in a split with Coastal Carolina. She scored three runs with a double and her first home run of the season.

On the season, Brooks is batting .269 with a team-high 23 runs and three triples. Radford (10-29) continues on the road with a conference matchup against Elon on Thursday at 3:00 p.m.
