Highlanders Edged at High Point

High Point, N.C. -- Radford's men's tennis team was edged by High Point on Thursday, 4-3 at the Millis Center Tennis Complex.

HPU improves to 10-4 on the season, 4-0 in league play, while RU dips to 6-6 overall and 0-3 in the Conference.

HPU's Jim Trussler outlasted Dominic Soeur (Herndon, Va.) in three sets in the deciding match at No. 6 singles to help the Panthers slip past the Highlanders.

The Panthers took two of the three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead, and got singles victories from Chris Archer (at No. 2), Thomas Provost (at No. 3), and Trussler.

Radford host Norfolk State on Saturday at 1 p.m.
