Highlanders Notch First Conference Victory, Blank Coastal Carolina

Blacksburg, Va. --Radford’s men's tennis squad blanked Coastal Carolina, 4-0, this afternoon from Burrows/Burrelson Tennis Center on the campus of Virginia Tech. The match was moved indoors to high winds at the Dedmon Center Courts. The Highlanders earned their first Big South victory improving to 1-3 in the Conference and 8-6 overall, while the Chanticleers fall to 8-12, 0-4 in the Conference.

For the Highlanders, James Lloyd, Arthur Vasarevic, Brandon Johnson and Robel Mengisteab won at No. 1, 2, 3 and 5 singles matches respectively. The other two matches were not finished and doubles was not played.

Radford returns to action tomorrow when it hosts Charleston Southern at Noon.
