Tennis Splits with Coastal Carolina Radford, Va. -- Radford’s men’s tennis team cruised to a 6-1 victory over Coastal Carolina, while the women fell to the Lady Chanticleers, 6-1 in Big South Tennis action from the Dedmon Center Courts this afternoon. The men opened up winning the doubles point with victories at the No. 1 and No. 3 matches. The teams of Brandon Johnson/Dominic Soeur and Joakim Arhammar/Robel Mengisteab won 8-4, 8-6 respectively. In singles competition, Johnson, Arhammar, Andre’ Cavaco, Arthur Vasarevic and Mengisteab earned straight-set victories at No. 1 through No. 5 for the Highlanders. For the women, Laura Dickenson earned the lone point for the Highlanders, winning 6-1, 6-3 in the No. 5 singles match. The Lady Chanticleers swept through doubles and won the other five singles in straight sets.
