Men's and Women's Tennis Fall to Elon Elon, S.C. Radford's men's and women's tennis teams fell to the Elon Phoenix in Big South Conference action from . The women fell 5-2 and the men 6-1. With the losses, the women drop to 1-10 overall, 0-5 in the Big South, while the men fall to 2-17, 0-5. On the women's side, the doubles tandem of Jihane Najdi (Casablanca, Morocco) and Laura Dickenson (Roanoke, Va.) picked up a 8-6 victory but it was not enough as Elon (4-7, 2-1) claimed the other two by scores of 8-3 and 8-4. Najdi and Dickenson also picked up singles victories for the Highlanders. In the #1 singles, Najdi cruised past Jennifer Fulmer, 6-0, 6-1. Dickenson picked up the come-from-behind win, defeating Lindsey Kinnaird, 2-6, 6-4, 10-7 (tiebreak) in the #4 singles. Elon won the other four in straight sets. In men's action, Elon (8-5, 2-1) took all three doubles matches and five of six singles to claim the victory. RU's Dominic Soeur (Herndon, Va.) picked up the only win, also in come-from-behind fashion, defeating Richard Dutton, 3-6, 7-5, 10-8.
