Men's Golf Finishes 15th At Winthrop-Waterford InvitationalROCK HILL, S.C. - The Radford University Men’s Golf Team finished in 15th place at the Winthrop-Waterford Invitational. The Highlanders posted a two-day total of 636. Chris Clark fired a 68 on day two to finish tied for 17th with a 150 to lead RU. His 68 was one storke off the tournament low round of 67, shot on day two by medalist Ulf Hedlund of Campbell. Clark shot a 82 in round one, an improvement of 14 strokes. Aaron Summers (78-78-156) finished tied for 37th while Chris Bagg (81-83-164) finished third for Radford, placing tied for 74th overall. Chirs Gentile (81-85-166) and Robert Noon (88-87-175) rounded out the Highlander finishers, placing tied for 80th and 90th respectively. UNC Greensboro won the tournament, finishing with a 594, one stroke ahead of Chattanooga. Winthrop (10th place-629) and High Point (14th place-630) were the other Big South teams that competed in the tournament. |
