Radford In Seventh After Day One At Big South Tournament

GREENWOOD, S.C. - Radford's men's golf team finished in seventh place after day one at the P.U.P.S. Big South Conference Men's Golf Championships at Greenwood Country Club.

Chris Bagg fired RU's best round of the day, shooting a 74, placing him tied for 12th place overall. Chris Clark checked in tied at 23rd overall, shooting a 76 to finish second for the Highlanders.

Aaron Summers was the Highlanders' number three finisher, carding a 79 to tie for 28th overall. Chris Gentile finished with an 80 to tie for 30sh overall. Robert Noon rounded out RU's scoring with an 88 to s=finsh 35th overall.

The Highlanders posted a team score of 309. Coastal Carolina is leading the event with a team score of 287. High Point's Brian Hayes shot a 69 to lead the field.

The tournament will resume tomorrow and conclude Sunday. The winner will earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Men's Golf Tournament.
