Six Highlanders Honored for Academics by NFHCA

Radford, Va. - Six members of Radford's Field Hockey team were honored for their academic achievements this past fall. Jenny Bell, Alison Douglass, Megan Driest, Becky Glynn, Erin Lenhardt and Sylvia O'Connor were named to the 2001 NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad.

Nominees must have maintained an overall GPA of 3.30 or better during the first semester of the 2001-02 academic year and must be a starter or key reserve on their respective team.

The Highlanders finished the season 8-15 and 3-3 in the NorPac. They won the consolation final of the conference championship, defeating Saint Louis and Appalachian State after falling to Stanford in the opening round.
