Intoductory Statement:

My quest to become an educator began at the early age of five. Teachers, both at home and school, fascinated and intrigued me with their knowledge, caring dispositions and zest for learning. Special teachers along the way encouraged and inspired me to learn more, do more, to be more. As an elementary school teacher, a professional development provider, and now a college instructor, I strive to model and share the same thirst and zest for knowledge with my students. At Radford University, I aspire to not only facilitate life-long learners and teachers, but to also equip my students with the knowledge and tools to serve as exemplary teachers of reading.
