Recall what a standard form is: (i) coeficients of x's are
positive and
(ii) each factor is linear (degree =1). If an inequality is in a standard
form, we can apply short cut to solve the problem.
(3x+1)(-2+3x) < 0. (this is a standard form, so we alternate the +,
and - signs from right to the left, the answer is (-1/3, 2/3).
What about (-1-3x)(2x-1) > 0 ? This is not in standard form, what
should we do?
