Student composers enrolled at Radford University are eligible to spend one semester studying at the University of Glasgow as participants in the student exchange program. Since 1996, our students have returned from this experience with a broad cultural and artistic perspective shaped by discussions with european composers, concerts heard in one of the most vibrant cities on the planet, and performances of their work that open doors for an international reputation.

While studying at Radford, composers receive frequent performances of their music by a wide variety of vocal and instrumental ensembles, both acoustic and electronic. Basic compositional craft is honed through traditional one-on-one instruction with a master composer. The latest technological techniques are learned in computer music courses which place students in studios equipped with the most advanced technology available.
